We love food at The Queen’s Head, and look forward to welcoming you to our sumptuous restaurant where you can enjoy
a warm, cosy dinner by candlelight in a suitably relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Of course you’re also more than welcome to enjoy a home-cooked meal in our cosy bar or perhaps out in the courtyard
– maybe one for the summer!
We are proud of our heritage, and love to use fresh, local produce wherever possible.

Make sure you try the watercress - its grown in the village!
To compliment the food, we have an excellent selection of well-kept ales (we are listed in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide),
chilled lagers, ciders, fine wines & spirits, and naturally non-alcoholic beverages for the driver.
Relax in comfort in the friendly atmosphere of our low-beamed bars (building circa 1465). Well behaved children are welcome in the lounge area.
We welcome enquiries to cater for private functions up to 70 persons (unlimited numbers for outside functions).
ACCOMMODATION. Off the courtyard, there are four modern double rooms, each with its own bathroom
& colour TV. All the rooms benefit from central heating, tea/coffee making facilities & direct-dial telephone.
Self-contained motel style, so that you are free to come and go as you please.

From Salisbury, take the A354 Blandford road for 3 miles to Coombe Bissett.
Turn right at the sign to Bishopstone, and follow the road for 4 miles to Broad Chalke.

Ebblesway Courtyard, Broad Chalke.
Two units of Self Catering accommodation provided by Peter and Gail Smalley,
who would be pleased to welcome visitors from the Gurston Down Hillclimb.
Both units are furnished to a very high standard, both sleep two persons, and each
are available for short breaks (minimum stay of two nights) and weekly breaks.
The two units are the Hayloft (a self catering cottage) and the Stables (a self-catering suite).

As the property was formerly a farm, they have plenty of hard-standing and covered barns suitable
for the parking of cars and trailers - facilities which prove useful to many of our Gurston visitors.
Greenbank Bed and Breakfast, Bowerchalke.
Greenbank is a family house located at the top end of the Ebble Valley in the village
of Bowerchalke. Located within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), this
house is ideal for lovers of wonderful countryside, or those attending the Gurston
Down hillclimb.
